# Should voters be able to sack their MP between elections?

From [the UKJP’s principles](https://ukjp.org.uk/principles/), 6. Democratic reform: _voters should be able to remove an MP who breaks the promises they were elected on._

Who decides what counts as a broken promise? And would recall make MPs more honest, or just more cautious about promising anything?

Any position may be argued here, including that the question is framed wrongly.
