# Should HS2 stop at Birmingham?

From [the UKJP’s manifesto](https://ukjp.org.uk/manifesto/), Transport: _HS2 finished between London and Birmingham, and no further._

Its estimated cost stands at £87.7bn to £102.7bn. Should the line still go north, or is the money better spent elsewhere, and where?

Any position may be argued here, including that the question is framed wrongly.
